“ampun”  is a Gemstone company founded by

Mr. Ampun Jarugosol, a reputable gemstone businessman

in Thailand. The company began operation as a loose gemstone importer and exporter, establishing the first shop, Nakorn Gems, in 1974.  The company searched for new sources for gemstones around the globe including Myanmar, Sri Lanka, Australia, Cambodia and Africa to satisfy customers.
After 10-years of experience in gemstone, the company expanded into a new branch of business- jewellery retailing, in collaboration with French designer and Thai expert goldsmiths. The company’s first jewellery shop, named JP, opened in 1984 at the Hilton Hotel (Park Nai Lert). Through both loose gemstone trading and jewellery retailing, the company was recognised as a leader in the industry.
